Objects of the Ottoman Empire is a project created by undergraduate students at St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 2019 as part of our final project for Dr. Betül Başaran’s Islamic Empires: Podcasting the Ottomans course in the department of Philosophy and Religious Studies. Since then, the Religious Studies program has been eliminated by the college administration, along with a number of other programs. Dr. Başaran currently teaches in the History Department. This website is a collection of the work her students complete when she is able to teach the course.
